BSA Training
Asset size: with between $500m - $1b
Description: This is an Excel spreadsheet designed like the television Jeopardy game. Split your class into two teams. Have them choose a name for their team and a leader to speak on their behalf. I gave each team three questions or until they missed an answer. You will need to click on the 'Answer' tab and customize the answers to be applicable with your FI, such as Name of Your BSA Officer, etc. You will also want to customize some of the questions and answers to make the game applicable to the department you will train. Use your answer time to explain your BSA program regarding the respective item/answer. We received tons of compliments on this training this year. I got the idea from BOL.com. Try their website for loads more! Enjoy!

At a BSA conference last last year I learned about several changes that will take place when FinCen's new CTR and SAR requirements become mandatory. I remember that one of the things that will be added is the NAICS code. We don't current enter that into our core and I am beginning to worry about how I will provide that. Are there any other new items that anyone is aware of that BSA Officers should be preparing themselves for, even at this early date?

They were very in-depth with wire transfers and what information you had with the wire transfer, they stressed on all paper work not to have a P.O. Box and to have an actual physical address. Also have realistic dollar amount ranges for wire transfers with the control system and trading desk. Also having more documentation on how the wire request was received for example, fax, email, phone, etc..
